Sam Altman’s OpenAI brings prediction market data to ChatGPT, giving World Cup fans a new way to follow match predictions.
OpenAI has started showing Kalshi prediction market odds for FIFA World Cup matches in ChatGPT search results, according to to a New York Times report.
The integration had not been publicly announced at the time of publication. Kalshi declined to comment on Cointelegraph, while OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The move would mark OpenAI’s first known partnership with a market forecasting platform, highlighting technology companies’ growing interest in integrating market-based forecasts into consumer products.
Market odds enter AI search experience
According to the report, ChatGPT displays market odds based on Kalshi when users search for World Cup matches. The results appear as graphs showing each team’s implied odds of winning based on Kalshi’s prediction markets.
One example cited by the report involved a ChatGPT search for France v Spain showing France had a 59% chance of victory, while a query for England v Argentina showed a 55% chance for England, with the Kalshi as the prediction source (see below).

The integration does not allow users to place bets via ChatGPT, according to OpenAI guidelines cited in the report, with Kalshi data intended for informational purposes only.
Prediction markets are coming to mainstream platforms
Founded as a regulated prediction market platform, Kalshi allows users to trade contracts tied to real-world events, including economic, political and sports indicators.
The platform has become one of the largest prediction market sites, with data from Dune Analytics showing that Kalshi recorded over $33 billion in monthly notional volume as of June 2026, approximately $22 billion more than Polymarket.

The use of predictive market data has gained traction across major media and technology platforms, with Kalshi enter partnerships with CNN and CNBC in December 2025 to integrate its market data into their coverage. Rival polymarket in partnership with Dow Jones in January 2026 to bring its forecast market data to products such as the Wall Street Journal.
Google too integrated Prediction market data from Kalshi and Polymarket in Google Finance and Search products in November 2025.
